Here are a few bars and restaurants we have discovered and like. They are not always the most fancy places. Those you can find in the guides. All of them serve good food, are not overpriced, and have a nice atmosphere.

Es 4 Vents. In Algaida, a ten minute drive from Cassiopea. Excellent Mallorcan cuisine. A favourite of many residents in this area. Open every day all year-round except Tuesdays. Large outside terrace in Summer. Cosy dining with fireplace in winter. Call 971 66 51 73 for reservations. See Es 4 Vents on Sky Blue Mallorca.
Sa Fabrica. On the outskirts of the town of Sineu, just opposite the station. Excellent grilled meat. Outside terrace. Open all year through every day. In Winter closed on Tuesdays. Call 971 52 06 21 for reservations. See Sa Fabrica on Visit Sineu
Tomassini. The best pizzas in the center of the island. Also close to the station. Always crowded and lots of atmosphere. Reservations are not possible. Come early or you may have to wait. No outside terrace. It gets very hot inside in Summer… Closed on Mondays and Tuesdays. See Tomassini on Visit Sineu.
Daica. A small restaurant in a small hotel in the small little town of Llubi. Outstanding food at very reasonable prices. Make sure you book a table on the small courtyard. Only 20′ drive from our finca. Website: daica
Rotana. Located in the Rotana golf resort just outside of Manacor. Very spacious outside terrace with view on the surrounding countryside. Excellent food ( ‘almost’ a michelin star). Not cheap, but not overly expensive either. Tel: 971 84 56 85. Website Rotana

Es Vivers
Es Vivers. One of our favorite places to have a romantic dinner on the island. Excellent mediterean cuisine on the watrefront in Colonia St Pere. Ask for a table outside on the ‘primera linea’ in Summer.Closed in winter. Must call for reservations: 971 589 478. They have their own website: Es vivers
El Bungalow. Charming seafood restaurant right on the water in Ciudad Jardin, between Palma and Arenal. Closer to the water you cannot get. Open for dinner only during the season. If you want a table on the outside terrace, you must make a reservation : 971 262 738. See El Bungalow on Elephant 10.
Es Passeig. Drive to Puerto de Soller to watch the sunset and have a great dinner in El Passeig, one of the few non-touristy places on the seafront promenade. Reservations are a must : 971 63 02 17. Ask for a table on the ‘primera linea’. Website: Es Passeig
3/65 at the 5-star Son Brull hotel on the road to Pollença. Outstanding gourmet food in a romantic setting in this beautifully restored monastary. This one is expensive! Count on 70€ pp. Reservations on the outside terrace are a must in season.
Sa Llotja in Portocolom. An excellent seafood restaurant with an outdoor terrace overlooking the little harbor of portcolom. Prices on the high side.Go there in time for the sunset and a stroll along the harbor.Make sure you book in advance and ask for a table on the ‘primera linea’. Tel: 971 82 51 65 . Website: Sa Llotja

Swing
El Sol. Great beach bar and restaurant with good food right off the beach of Son Serra. Always crowded during lunch time. Resevations are a must in season. Call 971 85 40 29 Website: sunshine-bar.
Las Tres Palas. Away from the crowds off Playa de Palma. When you have dinner in the ouside garden it feels like you are in Thailand. Nothing pretentious but good food, particularly the grilled steaks. Website: Las Tres Palas.
Swing. Off the beach before you enter Puerto Pollença, away from the crowds. NIce,quiet place for lunch. Website : Swing
Royal Beach. Beach bar-cum-restaurant on the Playa de Muro Beach. Enjoy a cocktail before sunset overlooking the water and stay for dinner. No website but check out the Tripadvisor comments. Excellent food
Almare. Italian seafood restaurant in Ciudad Jardin, across the street from El Bungalow. From the terrace you have a nice view towards the sea and Palma. The food is surprisingly good and the prices are more than fair. Website: Almare
When in Palma:
Ribello. Great Italian food in a sophisticated setting. In ‘La Lonja’, Palma’s oldest fishing quarter and home to numerous restaurants, cafés and tapas bars in the old town of Palma. Best to make a reservation: 971 729 130. Website Ribello
Wineing. If you want to sample different Spanish wines and enjoy some tapas ( not the best) at the same time, this is the place. You can chose between 48 different wines. Also in La Lonja. Website wineing
